Despite its name, this café is in Lincoln Park.
The owners are a couple from Ohio who have been roasting small batches of coffee since 2010, perfected their technique, and moved to Chicago. They loved their hobby so much that they turned it into a business and opened a micro-roastery and coffee shop.
They deal with single origin coffee, which means pure beans from a single farm or processor, not mixed with any others. The flavor of the coffee reflects its unique characteristics and they offer beans from Brazil, Nicaragua, Papua New Guinea, Sumatra, and Colombia.
But if trying pure brews is not your thing, they also offer coffee beverages. Alongside ordinary milk choices, they offer almond, macadamia, and oat milks for your lattes as well as a small variety of pastries.
It’s a good space for working or studying, with lots of natural light and available outlets, though the seating choice is limited with only one communal table and one bar.
