While Blue Bottle Coffee may be commonplace to those in the Bay Area with over 16 locations there, it was a new coffee destination for this guy from Chicago. On my short trip to San Francisco, I found myself with a few free hours and a need to add the first California coffee house to this blog.
If you find yourself kicking around downtown Kansas City, Mo, specifically in the Power & Light District, head over to 12th and Main for a well located, comfortable place to meet with friends for a cup of joe. On my recent trip to Amsterdam, I’ve been staying with a friend in the Jordaan neighborhood. Most mornings, I’d find myself at Moods Coffee Corner, a great little coffee house a 10 minute walk away with fantastic croissants and delicious coffee served by the nicest staff I’ve come across.
Located on a side street, near the river Seine, this gem of a coffee-house is not terribly conspicuous unless you were specifically looking for it or happened to walk by and see the red sign out front.
The Atrium Café is located within the Little Traveler in the peaceful setting of an indoor atrium. Though, next necessarily a 3rd place due to its limited hours, it is a neat place to visit with a friend or a group during a visit to historic Geneva.
Founded in 1996, Nonnah’s was one of the first restaurants to set up shop in the Vista. Nonnah’s, a family owned store, was voted “Best of Columbia” seventeen years in a row by Free Times, The State Newspaper, The Columbia Metropolitan Magazine, and the Daily Gamecock. If you’ve already been to Nonnah’s you know what a great addition it has been to The Vista. They have a supper menu, brunch, full service bar with a wonderful list of wines, big frothy cappuccinos, and great desserts.
